TS files petition in SC on Krishna Tribunal allocation
Hyderabad, Dec 1: Telangana government on Monday urged the Supreme Court of India to direct the Krishna Tribunal to take up the water allocation process afresh. The government filed a petition to this effect in the apex court.
The Supreme Court posted the hearing on the issue on February 11, 2015 and then served notices to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra to filed affidavits on the issue and directed the states to reply within four weeks.
Earlier, the Telangana government filed another petition in the apex court requesting its permission to be included in the Bhabli Monitoring Committee.
It also requested the court in the petition that Andhra Pradesh should be removed from the membership of the committee. The apex court then transferred the case to a new three-judge bench of the court.
