SC Accepts Petitions On AP Bifurcation
New Delhi: Today, Supreme Court of India accepted to inquire the petitions filed on Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation. Along with former AP CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, BJP leader Raghurama Krishnam Raju, 24 others filed petitions against the AP Bifurcation.

Petitions argued that Andhra Pradesh State bifurcation has not done systematically & scientifically. After hearing the arguments SC directed Government of India to file affidavits in this case.

SC bench lead by CJI Jagdish Singh Khehar told that all the cases will be heard as a batch.

In 2014 February, SC refused to give stay on the bifurcation notification and told that it would not interfere in the Government of India's decision.

In 2016 February, while delivering its landmark judgement on Arunachal Pradesh defections and political gambling Supreme Court told "Can set the clock back". It also mentioned that this verdict is going to affect all states.
