Mumbai-bound passengers agitated at Shamshabad

Passengers at Shamshabad airport on Friday resorted to a demonstration because their early morning flight to Mumbai had not taken off till the afternoon. The Air India plane had developed a technical snag. As a result it was grounded, the officials explained. The officials said they would be making alternative arrangements to send the passengers to Mumbai. They said the flight would be ready in a short while. Meanwhile, they are making the alternative arrangements. Flights not taking off in time is a regular feature with Indian airports. The passengers are agitated. Under the new rules and regulations, they are expected to be paid compensation.
