Heavy rain in Tirumala affects devotees
Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the Tirumala Hills is affecting the pilgrimage of devotees. Two feet water is clogged in the temple premises. As a result, the devotees are having to wade through the water. High capacity water discharge machines have been employed. But fresh water is clogging, making the draining operations difficult.
Even so, devotees are going into the queue complex. Those that have had darshan and those coming in are taking the shelter of the tin sheds.
At the same time, devotees are finding it difficult to get accommodation in the choultries. Those occupying are not ready to move out.
Pilgrims are having a wet darshan and shivering due to the rain, but their progress is not halted.
