Con man Sivanandbaba catches greedy but devoted victims

The notorious con man Sivanandababa has been identified by the police as Buddappagari Siva. Siva is said to stalk on the superrich who have great faith in pujas for profit. Siva started his trick in Alipiri in Tirupati, where he looted about Rs 1 crore from the rich and escaped. Then he surfaced in Nellore. There he tricked one Anand Reddy into parting with Rs 40 lakhs, according to the police. The latest Siva victim is Lifestyle owner, Madhusudan Reddy, in Hyderabad, from whom he collected Rs 1.30 crore. Siva's modus operandi is as follows: He had in the past performed puja for Madhusudan Reddy. He turned Rs 1.5 lakhs into Rs 3 lakhs and impressed the Lifestyle owner. Madhusudan Reddy then offered Rs 30 lakhs to Siva. He told him he would double the amount. Siva then did the trick and vanished from the scene with Rs 1.3 crore.
