Complete Mission Bhagiratha works on time : VC

Hyderabad, May 30: Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman Vemula Prashant Reddy today asked Wapcos officials to see that the related works are completed on time to provide safe and potable waters to people at their households. At a high level review meeting here he said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to transform a miracle into reality by completing the flagship project. KCR himself designed the project works and officials made some exercise and finally Wapcos should plug the loopholes if any he said. Since the aim of the project is to supply safe waters to the people the Wapcos should not see in a business angle and instead focus on speeding up works, he suggested. Since structural designs and hydraulic statements for the project got approvals it is time for the detailed report with transparency he said. Vemula Prashant Reddy also asked the Wapcos officials to shoulder responsibility of a detailed project report and appoint 107 engineering experts for various works. As per the agreement 26 managers should be appointed for 26 segments and works be regularly monitored by 15 experts for pipeline works and factories inspection, 9 experts for electro mechanical works and 15 experts for design approval and others. Later the Wapcos officials assured of completing the works given in one month, a release said.
