IKEA's first store in Hyderabad ready by 2017
Hyderabad, May 12: IKEA India CEO Juvencio Maeztu today met Industries Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar and briefed him of the progress achieved by IKEA in setting up their unit in Hyderabad. It may be recalled that IKEA will open its first store in India in Hyderabad in early 2017. Arvind Kumar said the Telangana State government would extend all cooperation to Swedish furniture major to expedite their business plans in Telangana. Further permissions relating to blasting, tree felling and extension of electricity lines were agreed upon in the meeting. Maeztu said a new project manager would be joining IKEA from the first week of June and he would be responsible for IKEA operations in Hyderabad. Commissioner of Industries Manick Raj, Managing Director HMWS&SB Lokesh Kumar, TSSPDCL CMD Raghuma Reddy and other officials were present at the meeting.
