Roja seeks judicial, CBI probe into Capital fraud by TDP
Reiterating its charge that AP State Capital region was already sold out a month before the capital was determined at Amaravati, the YCP on Thursday demanded a judicial or a CBI inquiry into the matter of partaking of lands there by Telugu Desam Party leaders. Voicing the demand and reiterating the massive fraud by ruling TDP leaders, Roja, YCP leader, listed the names of the TDP leaders who have puchased lands in the capital region and also the extent of the lands. She said Payyavula Keshav, Anantpur TDP leader, had purchased land of 4.09 acres in Amaravati. Roja wondered why would he need land in Amaravati when the capital aura was ostensibly not given to it when he purchased it. Keshav, who talked of integrity and other virtues, was stated to have purchased the land in the name of his son, Vikram, who was a schoolgoing student. How did the boy get so much money, she wondered. Ravela Kishore, who called an ST woman member in the Assembly an `agnani'- illiterate, had purchased 55 acres in the area in the name of his wife, Ravela Santi Jyothi. Ravela had never held the TDP flag, but he got a ministry. How this could happen, only the Chief Minister could tell, she added. Most of the lands were Assigned Lands of the Dalits and weaker sections. These were acquired by the authorities by terrorising the people, eventually to pass into the hands of the TDP leaders. While the authorities/government purchased the lands at Rs 5 lakhs an acre, now with the packages and so on the lands acquired raised the prices to a whopping Rs 1.90 lakh per acre today. Roja dubbed the TDP anti-Dalit -- `a Dalitula drohi party'. Union minister Srujana Chowdhary, against whom a non-performing assets case is pending, also purchased a vast tract of land in Amaravati. Roja wondered why when there were 13 districts in the State, the TDP leaders should purchase lands only around Amaravati, especially at Tullur, before the capital location was even determined? When the Capital is for real estate, would the 50 million Andhras endorse it? Roja wondered. A sitting Judge alone should look into the capital fraud of the TDP. If the TDP has any sense of justice the Chandrababu government should call for a judicial or CBI inquiry, she added. Jaganmohan Reddy, YCP leader, is often projected as an arrogant leader. Who is arrogant? she asked, a Chief Minister who says `don't cross my path, else you'll be finished?' or Jagan?
