Odd cars plied in Delhi today
Delhi Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal was happy that odd-even car plan principle was successfully implemented on Friday.
Talking to newsmen, Kejriwal said he hoped the people of Delhi had fully accepted the odd-even principle.
The Chief Minister said in the next 5 years, the people all over India would take the cue from the Delhi principle.
Today cars with odd numbers were on the streets of Delhi.
The odd-even principle had to be formulated because Delhi was witnessing intolerable levels of pollution. As a way out, it was found feasible that if half the cars were banned from the roads each day, the pollution levels would come down consdierably. While the even numbered cars stayed put for the day, it would be interesting to find out the pollution levels on account of the odd numbered cars today.
Whether the principle was odd or even, it made a good start.
