Private Universities bill in next assembly session: Ganta

Hyderabad, Dec 3: Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao today announced that the Private Universities bill will be introduced during the next assembly session. The minister made this announcement after holding discussions with top higher education officials and Teachers' Graduate MLCs on the bill in Vijayawada today. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the state government's intention is to raise the quality levels in the high education sector. He then said the government was inviting private universities of repute to set up their campuses in the state. The minister assured that the state would be turned into a centre of excellence of knowledge.
