Amaravati fete to enter Guinness Records

Guntur, Oct 25: Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, is likely to be placed in Guinness Book of World Records. According to reports, the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials have sent proposals to Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records seeking an entry for Amaravati. 'My Brick My Amaravati', 'My Soil, My Water and My Amaravati' and 'Amaravati Invitations' are the three proposals. The state government has sent invitations to more than 10,000 people for the programme, and people from 75 countries purchased bricks by paying Rs 10 per each brick through online portal under 'My Brick My Amaravati' campaign. Similarly, holy water and soil were collected from 16,000 villages across the state and other places all over the world as per Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's 'My Soil, My Water and My Amaravati' call.
