Jawan from Bobbili killed in Kashmir gunfight

Bobbili (Vizianagaram), Oct 06: A Jawan from Andhra Pradesh was among the four men killed in encounter with terrorists in Hafruda forests of Handwara in Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir on Monday. Botha Satyam (36) was from Bobbili in Vizianagaram district. He joined the army in 2002 and was due to retire next year. The body is likely to reach Bobbili in the next two days from Delhi. He is survived by wife and two children. His wife Sravani received a phone call yesterday evening informing her about his death. Satyam reportedly received a gunshot injury and died while on the way to hospital. He was a native of Golladi village in Badangi mandal. He married Sravani in 2005 and they have two children Vivekananda (9) and Bhuvan (2).
