Students protest on IIIT-Basara campus

Hyderabad, August 17: The students of IIIT-Basara staged a protest outside the Block-I on the institute's campus in Basara on Sunday. They gheraoed Vice-Chancellor Satyanarayana. At least 70 students fell ill after eating food in the college mess on Saturday night. While some developed severe stomach pain on Sunday morning and had medicines. But since afternoon, several students fell ill. A few of them were shifted to Nizamabad hospital. Students alleged that they were served the left-over food of Saturday night. They are demanding action to be taken against those responsible for the incident.
