Outlook representatives appear before police

Hyderabad, Aug 04: The representatives of Outlook magazine have appeared before the Central Crime Station (CCS) police here today for investigation in a case related to alleged defamatory article on IAS officer Smitha Sabharwal. Smitha's husband Akun Sabharwal filed the case stating that the magazine has published indecent cartoon and content on his wife. The police issued notices to Outlook president Indranil Roy, editor-in-chief Krishna Prasad, resident assistant editor Madhavi Tata and cartoonist Saahil under section 41of CrPc to appear before them for investigation. The magazine representatives along with their counsel appeared before the police for investigation. The police filed cases on the magazine and the staff under IPC sections 509, IT Act 67 and 3 R/W.
