Tablet PCs for Anganwadi’s soon
New Delhi: The Union Government will soon equip the Anganwadi centres across the country with Tablet PCs to monitor the nutrition levels of children. The Anganwadi workers will upload the details of children health, supply of food grains and other information through the devices. At present the Union government receives periodic reports on the implementation programme from states and union territories. The devices will help the government to identify malnourished children faster and plan remedial measures. There are 13.42 lakh Anganwadi centres in the country which cater to the needs of 10 crore children. Anganwadis provide supplementary nutrition, pre-school education and health check-ups.
