VIJAYAWADA: A PT warrant has been filed against Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), in the ACB Court of Vijayawada. This action is taken in connection to the FiberNet case. The CBI alleges that during TDP's tenure, the TerraSoft company was awarded the FiberNet contract in violation of regulations. The misconduct is said to involve misappropriation of over ₹121 crore. Several individuals have already been interrogated in relation to this case. Back in 2021, the CBI had registered a case against 19 individuals concerning the FiberNet project. The FIR had named Vemuri Hariprasad as the primary accused, followed by former MD Sambashiva Rao. Chandrababu Naidu already faces a PT warrant in the Inner Ring Road case. On another note, in the Skill Development scam case, Chandrababu Naidu has already been arrested and is currently held in the Rajahmundry Central Prison.
