Hyderabad: The Supreme Court has issued notices to IAS officer Srilakshmi in connection with the CBI charges filed in the Obulapuram mining case. The CBI has approached the Supreme Court after TS High Court gave clean chit to Srilakshmi. The CBI, responsible for probing the illicit mining activities of Obulapuram Mining Company, has levelled allegations against Srilakshmi. These allegations pertain to bestowing undue benefits upon the company during the mine allocation process. Having held the position of Secretary in the Industries and Commerce Department of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh for an extended duration, Srilakshmi is confronted with charges of conspiracy and unlawful issuance of mining licenses. Srilakshmi stands accused of misusing her authority in the issuance of licenses to Gali Janardhan Reddy's OMC company.
