Nirmal: In a distressing incident, an Adivasi woman delivered a baby on the roadside in Nirmal district, Telangana, due to a delayed ambulance. The woman's family had called for assistance, but the ambulance was held up due to lack of fuel, forcing them to manage the delivery themselves. Gangamani, from the remote Tulsipet village in Pembi mandal, went into labor on Thursday night. Lacking road access, her family carried her across a stream to reach a nearby road. Upon calling the 108 ambulance service to transport her to the local government hospital, they were informed about the fuel shortage. After enduring four hours of distress, the woman delivered her baby with the help of her family on the road. The ambulance finally arrived post-delivery, and both mother and baby were safely taken to the hospital.
