Hyderabad: The Cheddi gang has resurfaced in Hyderabad once again, creating chaos in the Vasantha Villas vicinity near Novotel Hotel in Miyapur's Hi-Tech City. This gang has been involved in a spree of thefts across multiple neighborhoods. Members of the Cheddi gang are identifiable by their attire, donning cheddis (traditional clothing) and masks to conceal their faces, all while carrying dangerous weapons. Their focus lies on breaking into locked residences, where they proceed to loot the premises. These instances of theft have been captured on CCTV cameras, leading to their wide circulation on the internet. On the night of August 7, a group of five wrongdoers burglarized a home within the 17th villa of Vasant Rali, located under the jurisdiction of the Miyapur police station. In this particular case, the homeowner had secured the door and had left for Kamareddy. The gang gained access to the house by tampering with the bathroom's ventilation mirrors.
