In response, women ministers like Shobha Karandlaje and Darshana Jardosh, along with other BJP women MPs, quickly filed a complaint with Speaker Om Birla. Reports indicate that a total of 21 women MPs have voiced their concerns to the Speaker about Rahul Gandhi's gesture. It's worth noting that this isn't the first time Gandhi's actions in Lok Sabha have raised eyebrows. In July 2018, he unexpectedly hugged Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a speech and later winked, seemingly celebrating his action.
