The Allahabad High Court, on Thursday, dismissed the challenge posed by the Gyanvapi mosque committee and granted permission to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct a survey of the mosque complex in Varanasi. Chief Justice Pritinker Diwakar had reserved the court's order on the committee's petition until August 3, following hearings from both parties. Representing the Hindu side in the Gyanvapi survey case, Vishnu Shankar Jain stated, "Allahabad HC has allowed the ASI survey of Gyanvapi mosque complex to commence, upholding the Sessions court order." Reacting to the High Court's verdict, advocate Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi, representing the Hindu side, remarked, "The fate of the Gyanvapi mosque complex will be determined by the survey report prepared by ASI. It holds great significance in the case."
