Hyderabad: With the upcoming elections in Telangana, political parties are actively engaging in "Operation Akarsh" to attract new members. The recent meeting between renowned film actress Jaya Sudha and BJP President Kishan Reddy has sparked curiosity, as speculation arises about her potential entry into the BJP. Notably, Jaya Sudha had previously served as a Congress MLA from the Secunderabad Assembly Constituency in 2009. However, there were previous rumors about her joining the BJP that had since subsided. Party sources have disclosed that discussions about Jaya Sudha and a film producer from North Telangana had taken place within the BJP's recruitment committee in the past. Nevertheless, Jaya Sudha has not yet provided any definitive response to the proposal of joining the BJP, as per sources in Kamal. Allegedly, she desires a clear guarantee from the party's national leadership before making any decision.
