Hyderabad: Scrap trader and associates were arrested in Hyderabad after allegedly assaulting GST officers and kidnapping them during a raid on a scrap unit with fake GST registration. The accused, identified as Syed Feroz, Syed Mujeeb, Shaik Imtiyaz, and Syed Musheer, were running a store in Saroor Nagar. The officers, who alerted their superiors, were quickly rescued by Rachakonda police. The accused had snatched the officers' ID cards, damaged them, and forced them into a Toyota Fortuner. One suspect remains at large. Efforts are underway to apprehend him. The arrested individuals have been sent to judicial remand, with investigations ongoing.
