Hyderabad: BJP's Dubbak MLA Raghunandan Rao was taken into custody by police on Wednesday. The incident happened at Hakeempet when Raghunandan Rao was on his way to Gajwel. Earlier, a man urinated before the statue of Shivaji in Gajwel, and it caused public outrage. In response, the police stepped up security measures in Gajwel to prevent any untoward incidents. The police are taking measures to prevent any unwanted incidents in Gajwel. BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao was taken into custody by the police in Hakeempet amidst incidents taking place in Gajwel. Later, he was transferred to the Alwal police station. Upon learning about this, BJP Election Management Committee Chairman Eatala Rajender spoke with Raghunandan Rao over the phone. Eatala Rajender condemned the arrest of Raghunandan Rao and criticized the police for acting biased towards the ruling party.
