Hyderabad: A potential disaster was narrowly averted in the city when an elevator malfunctioned at the PVR Mall Complex in Malakpet. Passengers onboard were thrown into a state of panic, among them was a pregnant woman, totalling 12 individuals. The mall management promptly alerted the fire services about the incident. In a coordinated rescue operation, the local police and fire brigade successfully opened the lift and ensured all the occupants were safe. The incident, which could have escalated into a serious tragedy, took place on Tuesday night. All of the passengers, visibly shaken but largely unharmed, breathed a sigh of relief after being brought out safely from the stuck elevator.
