Former minister Devineni Uma has launched a scathing attack on the government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, questioning the inclusion of the Chief Minister's pictures in children's books. He also raised concerns about the colors in the books. Uma expressed his dismay at the decline in educational standards in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing that the state, once ranked third, has now fallen to the 19th position. Accusing the government of neglecting the welfare of students, Uma alleged that the non-payment of fee reimbursements has jeopardized the future of two lakh students. He further claimed that due to the government's ill-advised decisions, approximately 3.5 lakh individuals have stopped enrolling in government schools. Drawing a comparison between the educational standards under former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's leadership and the current system, Devineni Uma challenged CM Jagan to explain the reasons behind the deterioration of foreign education opportunities.
