In a move aimed at preserving the sanctity of temples, a new dress code will be implemented in multiple temples across Maharashtra. Specifically, the dress code will be introduced in 25 temples located in Nagpur district. Officials have stated that the decision was made to ensure the sanctity of the temple environment. Under the new guidelines, individuals wearing short dresses will not be permitted to enter the temple premises. The federation responsible for overseeing temple affairs will actively collaborate to implement the dress code in over 300 temples across Maharashtra, including those in Nagpur. The authorities have emphasized that the implementation will be carried out in a manner that avoids inconvenience to other devotees. To adhere to the dress code, temple visitors are kindly requested to wear clothing that covers the entire body. The temple authorities are taking this step to maintain the sacred atmosphere within the temples and uphold the religious values associated with the places of worship.
