Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed house site pattas to the underprivileged in the R-5 Zone at Venkatapalem of Tulluru in Guntur on Friday. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that this initiative is unparalleled in the history of the country, as he himself witnessed the struggles faced by the underprivileged in their quest for decent housing. The Chief Minister acknowledged the arduous legal battles fought to secure homes for the needy, as opposition forces seemed to obstruct the endeavour like formidable adversaries. CM Jagan unveiled three options for house construction, allowing beneficiaries to either build their own houses with a government grant of INR 1.8 lakhs deposited in their bank accounts or opt for the government to cover labour costs. In addition, the government would provide free sand and offer subsidies on steel, cement, and door frames, ensuring the highest quality of materials. CM Jagan criticised opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu, accusing him of deceitful promises during election
