Sujana Chowdary, a former member of the Rajya Sabha, has publicly denounced the severe police crackdown on farmers protesting the establishment of the controversial Amaravati R-5 zone. Chowdary assured the aggrieved farmers that they need not fear, expressing confidence that justice will be served by the Supreme Court. Chowdary declared that the farmers' case would be represented by some of the country's most distinguished lawyers. He affirmed his belief in the court's ability to redress the injustices faced by the protesting farmers. The former Rajya Sabha member also levelled serious allegations against the current state government, accusing it of failing on multiple fronts. Specifically, Chowdary alleged that the government is embroiled in criminal activities related to the Amaravati R-5 zone issue. In his statement, Chowdary predicted that the current government would not endure and that a change in leadership would lead to justice for the farmers.
