Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident, a eight-year-old boy identified as Lokesh Ahirwal fell into a borewell while playing at a farm in Kherkhedi Pathar village in Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning and rescue operations have been underway for more than 24 hours to retrieve the child. According to the district administration, oxygen supply is being given to the boy and he is responding. A team of doctors is present at the site, monitoring the boy's health condition. State Home Minister Narottam Mishra updated the public on the current situation on Wednesday, stating that a rescue operation, jointly conducted by the district administration and the disaster team, was still underway. Mishra explained that as the boy is stuck at 43 feet, a parallel tunnel is being dug. At least a 60-feet tunnel would be made, of which 51 feet has been dug. The borewell, approximately 60 feet deep, had no casing and was not covered.
