Chandrababu Naidu, the chief of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has expressed his desire to confer the prestigious Bharat Ratna award upon Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR, and stated that it is the wish of every Telugu man to do so. Chandrababu has called upon the people to follow the philosophy and principles of NTR, and has emphasized that the party will work towards the all-round development of the Telugu people, irrespective of their location. The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has reminded the people of the agenda and aspirations of the late NTR, and has stressed the need to fulfill them in all aspects. Chandrababu made these statements while launching the Door-to-Door Telugu Desam Programme of the Telangana Telugu Desam Party at NTR Bhavan in Hyderabad. He has urged the people to work towards the ideals and principles espoused by NTR, and has pledged the party's commitment towards the development of the Telugu people.
