Matewada police took the senior accused, who allegedly harassed first-year PG medical student Dharavathi Preethi, into custody following her suicide attempt in Warangal. Preethi, 26, is currently in critical condition at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad. In a press meet, Preethi's sister demanded that the accused be hanged for his actions and questioned the delay in getting justice for her sister. She claimed to have evidence against the accused and asked the government to speak up if they were unable to deliver justice. The victim's sister also stated that they would pursue their own path to seek justice.
