Jogulamba: BRS MLC Kavitha visited the Alampur Balabrahmeshwara Swamy temple in Gadwal district on the occasion of Shivaratri. Special pujas were conducted to honor Balabrahmeshwara and Kavitha was greeted by the priests with a traditional kumbha upon her arrival at the temple. After the darshan, the priests offered vedashirvachanam to MLC Kavitha and the officials gave her theertha prasadams. Kavitha shared her experience on Twitter, stating that she was on her way to the Alampur Bala Bramheshwara Swamy Temple on the occasion of Mahia Shivratri. She also extended her wishes for a happy and blessed Maha Shiva Rathri to all. In another tweet, she mentioned that the Jogulamba temple, located on the banks of the Tungabadhra river, is the fifth shakthibpeetam. According to local folklore, Lord Brahma meditated at this site and Lord Shiva appeared in nine different forms. As a result, there are nine Shiva temples and one Devi temple in this historic temple town.
