On Wednesday, the Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad Godavari Express (12727) derailed between Bibinagar-Ghatkesar station in Secunderabad division, causing the cancellation of nine trains. South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager, Arun Kumar, confirmed the cancellation and partial cancellation of several trains which were scheduled to travel through the affected area. He also stated that some trains were diverted and the restoration of the tracks was in progress, with hopes of completion by 10 pm that evening. Kumar went on to request cooperation from the public as the railway authorities worked to rectify the situation. He assured the media that the restoration work was being carried out on a fast-track basis and that his team was working tirelessly to ensure the tracks were up and running as soon as possible.
