TDP leader and MLC Buddha Venkanna has expressed concerns over the safety of TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu and National General Secretary Nara Lokesh. Lokesh's planned "padayatra" or walkathon is set to begin on the 27th of this month, and there are concerns that Lokesh may be targeted. Venkanna has called on the central government to intervene and provide Lokesh with special forces protection. He also warned that if Lokesh's padayatra is stopped, there will be serious consequences. Venkanna has accused YS Jagan, the current chief minister, of being afraid of the success of Lokesh's padayatra.
