Nirmal: Tension escalated in Basara after temple priests, shopkeepers, villagers and Hindu organisations are staging protests against Ranjerla Rajesh who made objectionable comments against Basara Saraswathi Devi. Temple priests and staff staged a protest demanding the state government and police to take severe action against Renjerla Rajesh who made derogatory comments against Goddess Saraswathi Devi. They demanded the police to file the PD act against Rajesh. Earlier, Bairi Naresh also made derogatory comments against Lord Ayyappa Swamy and other Hindu Gods. Irked after his comments, Lord Ayyappa devotees staged a protest across the state.
