On Saturday, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation's 51 brand-new, ultra-luxury buses were ceremoniously unveiled by the state's transport minister, Puvvada Ajay Kumar. In the presence of TSRTC Chairman Bajireddy Goverdhan and Managing Director V.C. Sajjanar, the minister officially opened the new buses on Tank Bund in Hyderabad. The minister stated that these 51 buses are a part of the 776 buses that TSRTC will buy in the initial phase. The corporation intends to increase the fleet of its buses by a total of 1,016 in the current fiscal year, costing Rs 392 crore. The TSRTC has purchased brand-new, ultra-luxury buses that are outfitted with modern technology for passenger safety. These buses have a panic button that is connected to the TSRTC control room and a tracking system. If any passengers use the panic button in an emergency, the TSRTC control room will be alerted.
