Karimnagar: Panic gripped the residents of Sultanabad in Peddapalli after the monkeys' menace. According to the sources, the monkey population increasing in the district and attacking the people in the area. A video is going rounds on the internet in which a group of monkeys attacked an elderly woman at her residence. The incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed on their premises. The victim was identified as Mallamma and was severely injured in the monkeys' attack. It is learnt that the monkeys barged into her residence and created a ruckus. The elderly woman stepped out of the room to chase them away from the house. But, suddenly the monkeys attacked her and she fell to the ground. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and the locals are requesting the officials to catch the monkeys immediately.
