Anantapur: Heavy rains lashing Anantapur city and several areas in the district and many lakes and streams are overflowing with floodwater. Due to the heavy rains in the last two days, many low-lying areas were inundated with flood waters and people are facing severe problems event to get food and drinking water. A tanker washed away in the rivulet at Bukkaaya Samudram pond and the visuals are going viral on the internet. The tanker washed away in the floodwater while crossing the Maruva canal. Transportation to many areas is disrupted and more than 18 colonies are inundated with floodwater.
