Amalapuram: In a grisly road accident, several passengers including students injured severely after a speeding lorry rammed into an RTC bus in Ambedkar Konaseema district. The incident took place near Rajupalem, Mummidivaram Mandal, Konaseema. According to the reports, a speeding lorry moving towards Amalapuram rammed into an RTC bus carrying 80 passengers including 16 students and 8 teachers to Kakinada. It is said that the lorry hit the bus at a speed of 150 km. Locals trying hard to rescue the lorry driver who was stuck in the cabin. The injured persons were immediately shifted to Amalapuram government hospital and undergoing treatment.
