On 27th August 1948, Razakars attacked Veera Bairanpally village late at night and dragged the men from houses and killed them. The villagers are recalling the tragic incidents after completing 74 years. It is said that around 100 villagers were killed and women were stripped naked and forced to play Bhatukamma around the heaps of dead bodies. As per the historians, the villagers killed 25 Razakars during the movement which intensified anger among them. Now, the villagers are expressing worry after the government ignored to fulfil the promise made to them.
