New Delhi: The Centre on Wednesday reduced the gap between the second and third Covid-9 vaccine shots. According to the health ministry, the Centre reduced the gap to six months from nine months. The Centre decided to reduce the time gap to increase the coverage of booster or precaution dose. The health ministry in a statement stated that the booster dose period was reduced from the existing 39 weeks to 26 weeks. The Centre wrote letters to all the state governments to boost up the booster dose ahead of the predicted 4th wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
