Vehicles were vandalised and trains were burned during violent protests in Bihar and several other states against the Centre's Agnipath army recruitment scheme. However, the government addressed the worries of defence job aspirants and stated that the recruits' future is secure. In addition, the Centre raised the entry age for the Agnipath scheme in 2022 from 21 to 23 years. While protests in several regions of the country continue, Union Minister Kishan Reddy's remarks on the Agnipath Scheme did not go well. According to claims, Agnipath candidates will be trained to be drivers, electricians, washermen, and barbers. He further claimed that after their four-year terms expired, the Agniveers would be useful for these positions. A massive political war of words developed in response to Union Minister's remarks.
