The Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has decided to levy a 2% commission on all Andhra Pradesh cinema tickets sold online. The AP State Film Television and Theater Development Corporation will sell movie tickets online (APFDC). The terms and conditions of this nodal agency must be agreed upon by all theatres in the state. APFDC will act as the nodal agency. Anyone who wants to see a movie in any part of the state must now purchase tickets through this gateway. Even if people purchase tickets through private applications, they must pay the government a 2% commission. Theatre management has been instructed to offer online movie tickets seven days before the screening of new films.
