Terrorists shot and killed TV actor Amreen Bhat on May 25 in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam area, injuring her minor nephew. The incident occurred in Hushroo, Budgam district, in the Chadoora area. According to sources, she was severely injured in the incident and was taken to the Chadoora hospital, where she died. Her nephew Farhan Zubair, who was also at home, was shot in the arm. The incident was carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, according to Kashmir Police. "Police has lodged a case in this regard under relevant provisions of legislation," police said, cordoning off the area and searching for the perpetrators. An investigation is underway.
