In a recent development in AP politics, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has been arrested over a skill development scam. After his arrest by the CID, he was presented in court and has been ordered to remain in custody for 14 days. He is currently in Rajahmundry Central Jail. Many of Chandrababu Naidu's supporters and members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) believe he has been wrongly implicated. Protests have erupted, demanding his release. In a notable incident, TDP activist Adari Kishorekumar demonstrated against the arrest on a flight to Visakhapatnam. He later staged a protest on the airport runway, leading to his arrest. A video capturing his act, where he was seen holding a 'Save Democracy' banner, has been widely circulated on social media. He has been later detained by the Police.
