Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, has been arrested and remanded in custody for 14 days over an alleged multi-crore corruption scam. He was taken into custody in connection with a fraud case, accused of misappropriating funds from the Skill Development Corporation, causing a Rs 300 crore loss to the state. In response, Chandrababu Naidu's son, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh, labeled the case as "fake." Nara Lokesh challenged the state government to provide evidence of Naidu's financial involvement. He emphasized that the Telugu Desam Party TDP has faced and overcome multiple crises in the past, referring to this arrest as just a "speed breaker." Nara Lokesh's ongoing foot march will be temporarily paused due to the situation. Nara Lokesh noted that prominent figures like West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Janasena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan disapproved of the arrest. The party's next actions will be decided on September 13.
