The Congress-led government in Karnataka has launched its electoral pledge, the Grihalakshmi scheme. This scheme was inaugurated in Mysuru by Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. As part of this scheme, a sum of Rs 2,000 will be deposited into the accounts of 1.1 crore women in the state. This significant event saw a massive turnout with numerous citizens and Congress supporters gathering at the grounds of Mysore Maharaja's College. Addressing the crowd, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah shared that out of their five major electoral promises, three have already been fulfilled. These are the Shakti, Griha Jyoti, and Annabhagya schemes. The Grihalakshmi initiative is the fourth one. For the current financial year, a budget of 17,500 crores has been allocated specifically for the Grihalakshmi scheme. The Chief Minister also informed the public that the fifth scheme, aimed at the youth, is set to be rolled out in December. Rahul Gandhi, on the other hand,
