Bengaluru: On Thursday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah honored ISRO chief S Somanath for the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft. A video captures Siddaramaiah presenting Somanath with a bouquet and a turban. India achieved a historic feat on Wednesday by landing Chandrayaan-3 near the Moon's south pole. Following the accomplishment, a visibly pleased S Somanath expressed, "India is on the Moon." Today, ISRO revealed that the rover, named Pragyan, has commenced its activities on the lunar surface. Equipped with two payloads, Pragyan will engage in scientific -experiments and explorations. It is known that ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed the rover over the moon.
