Tirumala: A leopard sighting along the walkway in Tirumala has caused worry among devotees, particularly when the animal was spotted at the 2450th step. Forest officials promptly responded to the situation, ensuring devotees' safety. To address potential risks, groups of pilgrims are allowed from the 7th mile to Narasimhaswamy temple, with designated guides. In response, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has called for a high-level meeting to discuss safety measures for pilgrims on footpaths and ghats. Additionally, regulations have been imposed, limiting two-wheeler access after 6 pm and barring children under 15 from using specific routes after 2 pm. The collective effort aims to ensure a secure pilgrimage experience amid leopard movements.
